The construction of Vakil Bazaar began in 1793 by the order of Karim Khan Zand. After 21 years, in 1814, the last segments of the Bazaar were completed for operation in its current form.

Vakil Bazaar is located on the eastern side of Shiraz Municipality Square. It is one of the top tourist spots Shiraz. Registered by the Cultural Heritage Organization in July 1936, the bazaar is listed as one of the most valuable historical monuments in the country. Right in the middle of the market, there are four long souks with five large doors and four inns. The wide path with its stunning architecture, the natural air conditioning and multiplicative arches, has made a lovely historical sight. At the four corners of Vakil Bazaar, on a large porch, a high multiplicative arch is built, which is considered a masterpiece of architecture. Although more than two hundred years old, there isn’t a single crack on the arch.
