Haft Tanan Stone Museum is located at the entrance of Shiraz. When you pass under Quran Gate, you can see the garden of the beautiful museum. It is called the Haft Tanan Museum because of the 7 tombs located inside. (Haft means the number 7 in Farsi). The garden dates back to several centuries before Zandieh and the mansion to the time of Karim Khan Zand. Until a few years ago, this garden was actually a monastery for dervishes. It has now been restored and is known as a museum of stone and tile. A large pond stands not far from the entrance. In the yard, you can see a variety of cypress, orange, and pine trees that are over 200 years old. The mansion alone is a manifestation of Iranian architecture. In the northern part and the second floor of the building, there is a large porch with two stone columns. This porch has a flat wooden roof with rich oil paintings on the columns. The floor of the porch is covered with red tiles.
